Postdivorce Modifications Move-Aways and Relocations

Often, after a divorce is final, one of the parents may experience life changes that have an impact on existing custody, visitation or support agreements. You may have changes at work, including new responsibilities or a shift change, that make it difficult to abide by existing custody or visitation arrangements. Your employer may request that you take a promotion or new position in another community, one too far from where you currently live to keep existing visitation workable. You could lose your job or encounter other difficulties that affect your income and ability to pay or live on existing support agreements.
